DATA WE PROCESS: Your contact details (name, email address and, where applicable, phone number), the content of your messages and the documents you send us for translation. These documents may contain special categories of data or data relating to criminal convictions and offences (for example, criminal record certificates or court judgments), which are handled in strict confidence and solely to carry out the translation you request.

PURPOSE: To answer your enquiries, prepare quotes, provide the sworn translation service and handle invoicing.

LEGAL BASIS: The performance of a service contract or pre-contractual steps taken at your request (quote request), and compliance with legal obligations (tax and accounting). Analytics cookies are only used with your consent.

WHERE YOUR DATA IS STORED AND WHO CAN ACCESS IT: Email, the contact form and documents are handled on our own server, hosted by OVH SAS in France (European Union). We do not use third-party email services to process your messages. Backups are encrypted on that same server before being stored with MEGA (Mega Limited, New Zealand, a country covered by a European Commission adequacy decision), so MEGA cannot access their content. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Ireland Ltd. processes browsing data as explained in the cookies policy. If you contact us via WhatsApp, that communication is also governed by WhatsApp's (Meta) privacy policy. We do not share your data with third parties unless required by law.

RETENTION: Enquiries and quotes that are not accepted are deleted as soon as they are declined or, if there is no reply, within 1 month at most. Documents and translations are kept for up to 5 years after delivery, the general period for possible claims, and are then deleted. Invoicing data is kept for 6 years as required by law. Encrypted backups are continuously renewed, and deleted data disappears from them within 6 months at most.

SECURITY: Communications with the server are encrypted, access to email is restricted to the controller's own devices, and backups are encrypted.

RIGHTS: You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability by writing to daniel@dsantana.com. If you believe your data is not being processed correctly, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
